Pizza Place runs two menus. The main one is fifty items. The late-night one is seven: five slices and two salads. If you have ever arrived late and wondered why the screen looks shorter, that is why.
Seven lines is the point
Late night is not the moment for a fifty-item decision, and it is not the moment for the oven to be running six different bakes. Five slices and two salads is what one person behind the counter can serve quickly and well.
It is a real menu, not a subset
The late-night list exists in the account as its own menu with its own hours, which is why the ordering screen switches to it rather than greying half the main list out. What you can see, you can order.
The slices carry over
The five slices are the same five that run all day at the slice counter — same price, same crust. Nothing about the food gets worse after dark; there is simply less of it on offer.
