The mochi dough section is four lines long, and what distinguishes them is not flavour but count: the donuts are sold by the box.

Why boxes

Mochi dough is chewy in a way a normal donut is not, and it is best the day it is made. A box is the honest unit — it is what one person brings to a table, and it is what actually gets eaten while it is good.

Which box

The smallest is the one-person box. The middle one is what most people carry out, because it divides cleanly among a few people without anybody negotiating. The largest is for the office.

They sit next to the tea for a reason

Chewy and cold-sweet is a better pairing than it sounds, and the counter is set up to hand you both in one ticket. Everything on this board can be ordered ahead online.
